Every price below includes printing on 100gsm paper (colour pages too), a buckram hard cover and gold lettering on the spine and front. The only extras are a courier if you want it delivered and a rush if your deadline is close. Prices are ex GST; GST is added at checkout.

The number of copies sets the base price, and it drops per copy as you add more. A leatherette cover adds $20 a copy. A 24-hour rush adds 40% to the binding price. Courier anywhere in New Zealand is a flat $11.50. Page count, colour pages, paper and lettering do not change the price.

What every copy includes.
Black and white and colour pages, double-sided as standard, with no page-count surcharge up to 500 pages.
Black, royal blue, emerald green or burgundy buckram; black, burgundy, blue or green leatherette. Sewn and cased on millboard. Leatherette adds $20 a copy.
Title and author on the front, name, degree and year on the spine.
Meets the hardbound specification NZ universities use for deposit copies.

Does the price really include printing?+
Yes. Upload your PDF and we print it on 100gsm paper, double-sided, including colour pages. The buckram hard cover and gold lettering are included too. The only extras are a 24-hour rush (40% of the binding price), courier delivery ($11.50) and, if you choose it, a leatherette cover ($20 a copy). GST is added at checkout.
Can I order from outside Auckland?+
Yes. We courier anywhere in New Zealand for a flat $11.50 and email you the tracking number when it ships.
How long does it take?+
Standard turnaround is five working days from when we have your file and payment. A 24-hour rush adds 40% to the binding price. The order page shows the exact ready-by date before you pay.
What if I spell something wrong on the cover?+
Gold foil is stamped exactly as typed and cannot be changed afterwards, which is why the order form shows a live preview and asks you to confirm the spelling before paying. If we make an error on our side, we rebind at no charge.
Do you bind other books?+
Yes. Hardcover family histories, memoirs, poetry and recipe books in A4 at the same flat price as a thesis, with the same colours and gold lettering, straight from the order form. A4 spiral binding for reports and drafts is $23 a copy. Other sizes are quoted by email.
Can I see a sample first?+
We do not post samples, but you are welcome to visit the Botany Downs workshop by appointment to see finished theses and the buckram colours in person.
What if there is a printing or quality problem?+
If the error is ours we reprint and rebind at no charge and cover the return courier. If the problem is in the supplied file, we will tell you what we found and quote a reprint.
Can I cancel or change my order?+
Before printing starts, yes, free of charge. Once printing has started, contact us straight away and we will do what we can; fees may apply for work already done.
What payment methods do you accept?+
Visa, Mastercard, debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay, processed securely through Stripe. Bank transfer is available on request.
Can I upload my file later?+
Yes. Choose 'Email it to us' in the order form, pay, then email the PDF to [email protected] with your order number in the subject. Your turnaround starts when we receive the file.
